Hypnotherapy vs Hypnosis
Hypnotherapy is very similar to hypnosis, in the sense that you are in a deeply relaxed state or "hypnotic trance" which is allowing you to access parts of your subconscious mind. While in this state, you are able to access parts of your subconscious mind that are not available to you in everyday life, yet are running your every move, action and emotion. While hypnosis uses the power of suggestion and leaves suggestions for the subconscious mind to call upon later, this type of work is not as long lasting. You will need maintenance sessions to continue to keep those messages in your brain.
Hypnotherapy on the other hand is slightly different. In hypnotherapy we use the deeply relaxed state or "hypnotic trance" as an exploration tool. Instead of just leaving suggestions, we go into your subconscious mind with the intent to explore and listen and what we get are answers. Answers to the who's, what's, where's and why's of why you are experience pain or any other undesirable state of being, be it physical, mental, emotional or spiritual. You mind and body hold all the answers to all your problems, you just need to bring them to the surface to get the answers you are looking for.
How Hypnotherapy can help with pain release.
Our bodies hold more answers than we may want to believe. Throughout our life any time we were faced with a situation or trauma that we were unable to handle either emotionally, spiritually, mentally or physically we will energetically stuff that experience away deep inside our bodies. Over time, when we are faced with even a slightly similar experience those feeling and emotions are brought back to the surface, often at lighting speeds. If you are not able to heal from the experience in that moment, the energy of the new experience and re-packaged with the old and sent back into our body to continue the wait for healing. Each time this happens, you are altering the state of that body part, which can lead to stress, tension, injury, dis-ease, weight gain, and pain.
By entering and exploring the body via the subconscious mind these traumas, feeling and emotions can be accesses and healed in entirely new ways. Wen we communicate with our bodies and understand that they are only messengers from the depths of our minds trying desperately to heal those old wounds, we can learn to love and appreciate the message and heal them before our bodies are effected any further.
Pain, injuries, tension and dis-ease can often fade away as soon as those feeling are accessed, honored and released. Clients often also receive very detailed information from these parts off their bodies to add in their recovery/healing. Information like specific exercise and/or yoga poses, exercise regimes, supplements, relationship insights, dietary needs, etc can all be accessed and shared. Visualizing and acting as if, while under hypnosis can help to ensure goals are met and visions are brought to reality. The physical energy that is trapped can be released, both consciously and subconsciously and at an energetic level, like with reiki and meditation, allowing pain to fade away with it. It all depend on what message your pain is trying to tell you, everyone is unique and individual and has their own journey of healing ahead. Self exploration on a subconscious level is one of the fastest, most effective ways to have this type of healing.
